UPDATE: So, within 24 hours of my post from yesterday, at 6:55am, there was a horrible accident on eastbound Bahia Vista, just west of the Legacy Trail, which has effectively shut traffic down within the area. Finish this project!

“On schedule?!” Seriously? In one way or another, this project has been going on for years and has been a major inconvenience for those of us who live in the area. The dangerous driving and pedestrian conditions created by a combination of lane closures and frustrated, aggressive drivers who attempt to merge into the through lane at the last possible second are unacceptable to the community at large. Finish this project!

I’m guessing you only asked real estate developers. I and nearly all of my neighbors are very disappointed with our County Commissioners for their ignoring the needs and legitimate concerns of the people who have invested their savings for their homes and instead rubber stamp approvals for large scale projects that will create congestion and impact home values. As for the good people who work to provide services, they do a wonderful job.

IDK . These poor businesses are trying to survive around this craziness. I am sorry to see Sarasota deteriorating more and more. This is not the same town anymore and I see and hear about many people leaving because it just gets worse. I am not wealthy or young enough to keep up with it anymore. I try so hard to keep my faith in this town and love it for what is and have gratitude then I get sick while I watch people throw their trash on the streets or you walk in stores that are dirty and hazardous to even walk through. Bathrooms can't even be available to shoppers anymore. Excuse my rants ...
